CARE is a finished AI receptionist on WhatsApp for businesses that take bookings in Qatar and across the GCC. It states where your data is stored, shows you in riyals what it booked, keeps you informed on your own WhatsApp, and costs the same in a busy month as in a quiet one. Most AI agent companies sell a platform, a support desk or a project instead, and this page sets out the difference, category by category and without naming any vendor.
Chats and bookings are stored in Qatar, on Google Cloud in Doha, with the nightly backups in the same region. To write each reply, the text of a message goes to AI model providers outside Qatar, under terms that bar training on it. Most vendors publish neither half.
The Value tab shows the quoted value of every booking CARE made, how much of it came in after you closed, which no-shows came back, and which upcoming bookings are at risk. Other tools count calls answered and chats closed.
Every booking and every handover reaches you on your own WhatsApp, and a daily summary follows at the hour you choose. Other tools offer a dashboard, which is only useful on the days you open it.
CARE answers only from your knowledge base. Anything outside it is handed to your team with the whole conversation, rather than answered with a guess. A general model left unconstrained tends to answer anyway.
One payment for a 12-month licence, quoted per business, with no monthly bill and no per-message, per-seat or per-contact fee from us. Meta bills WhatsApp's own messaging fees separately. Most alternatives grow with your volume.
Thamra Group is registered in Doha, supports you Sunday to Thursday in Qatar hours, commits in the contract to 90 days' written notice if CARE is ever discontinued, and lets you export and delete your data yourself.
When you need agents for several processes, or on channels other than WhatsApp. CARE does one job on one channel, by design.
When you run a large support team and need ticketing, procurement and a contractual service level. CARE offers no service level agreement and no uptime commitment.
When you want a one-off flow for something other than appointments, built to your script and delivered locally. Ask for the price of future changes before you sign.
| What you are comparing | General-purpose agent platform | Enterprise customer-service suite | WhatsApp chatbot agency, Qatar and the Gulf | CARE |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Where your data is held | Set by the platform's regions and by your own configuration; rarely stated for you. | The vendor's own regions, which differ by vendor and plan; some offer a Gulf region, and the contract should say which applies. | Varies by agency and by the hosting it chose; seldom written down. | Stated in writing: chats and bookings are stored in Qatar, on Google Cloud in Doha. To write each reply, the text of the customer's message goes to AI model providers outside Qatar, under terms that bar training on it. |
| What it booked, in riyals | Not by default. A metric you would have to define and build. | Reports resolutions and handling time, not booked value. | Rarely. A bot that sends customers to a booking page cannot see what they booked. | The Value tab lists each booking CARE made and its worth, as quoted value rather than money collected, together with bookings made after you closed, win-backs and value at risk. |
| What reaches the owner | Logs and analytics that you assemble. | Extensive dashboards, designed for a support manager. | Often a shared inbox or an exported spreadsheet. | Each booking and each handover arrives on your own WhatsApp, a daily summary follows at the hour you set, and the dashboard shows every conversation live. |
| When it does not know | Whatever you configured. Left unconstrained, a model tends to answer anyway. | Usually opens a ticket for an agent to pick up. | A scripted flow typically ends at a 'talk to a person' option. | Answers only from your knowledge base, says when it does not know, and hands the chat to your team with the whole conversation attached. |
| Cost in a busy month | Commonly usage-based: per message, per token or per resolution, in addition to your own build cost. | Commonly per seat, billed monthly, often with an added charge for each AI resolution. | A project fee, then in most cases a monthly retainer or hosting fee. | Unchanged. One payment for a 12-month licence, quoted per business, with no monthly bill and no per-message or per-seat fee from us. Meta bills WhatsApp's own messaging fees separately. |
| Who you are contracting with | Usually a foreign platform under its own standard terms; support is online. | A global vendor, with support hours and continuity terms that depend on your tier. | A local company; continuity and data-export terms vary and should be in the quote. | Thamra Group, registered in Doha. Support Sunday to Thursday in Qatar hours, 90 days' written notice in the contract if CARE is ever discontinued, and self-serve export and deletion of your data. |
| Booking | Possible once you connect a calendar and define service lengths, staff and buffers yourself. | Rarely the purpose. The product resolves tickets; it does not usually hold an appointment. | Often a form or a link to a booking page. Whether a slot is actually held depends on the build. | Books, reschedules and cancels the right slot length with the staff member requested, in CARE's own calendar or, within the licence, your existing booking system. |
| Reminders and missed appointments | You build the template, the timing and the Meta approval process. | Outbound reminders are usually a separate module, where offered at all. | Reminders are sometimes scoped in; following up a missed appointment rarely is. | Sends reminders at the hours you set and offers a fresh slot to each customer who missed, using templates Meta has approved. |
| What you receive | A toolkit. You design, test and maintain the agent, or retain someone who does. | A support desk with AI added: tickets, a shared inbox, reporting and seats. | A bot built to your brief, usually flow-based, delivered as a project; changes are usually a new quote. | A finished AI receptionist, configured by Thamra Group and live within a few working days of the transfer clearing. You edit the knowledge base yourself in the dashboard, or from an Excel or Google Sheet. |
| Channel and language | Several channels, each needing its own setup. Arabic depends on the model you choose and the prompts you write. | Many channels into one inbox. Arabic support varies widely; English-first AI layers often reply in Modern Standard Arabic. | WhatsApp, typically, sometimes Instagram too. A scripted flow is usually written once, in one register. | WhatsApp only, on your own number, through the official WhatsApp Business Platform; it does not take telephone calls. Arabic and English, matched to the customer, and the Arabic is native Khaleeji rather than translated Modern Standard Arabic. |
This comparison is drawn between categories of supplier, not between named companies. Each statement about a category describes practice that is common within it at the date of writing and is qualified accordingly. It is not a statement about any particular vendor, whose features, terms and prices may differ and should be confirmed with that vendor directly. Statements about CARE describe the product as confirmed by Thamra Group in October 2026.
Yes, in the sense that it acts rather than only answers: it holds appointments, sends reminders and messages customers who missed. We call it an AI receptionist because that names the job. It is not a platform, so other agents cannot be built on it.
Because we cannot verify another vendor's features, prices and terms on any given day, and a comparison we could not stand behind would be unfair to them and to you. A category can be described accurately; a named competitor's product cannot, not by us. Put the questions on this page to any vendor you are considering.
On separate channels, yes. CARE does not connect to a helpdesk or an agent platform; it serves your WhatsApp number while another tool handles the other channels. Keep a single calendar as the record of availability, since two independent systems will eventually book the same slot twice. CARE can hold that calendar itself or work from your existing booking system, which the licence already covers.
Where your data is stored and where it is processed, in writing. What you will see of the money it booked. What reaches you, and when. What happens when it does not know the answer. Whether it holds a real appointment or links to a form. What its Arabic reads like when you message it in your own dialect. And what the total cost is over twelve months once usage, seats and change requests are added.
